Going to market for the first time ever

Metrocorp had relied heavily on one large client since founding some decades ago, and as a result had never considered the need for marketing. However, that’s clearly limiting for growth, and they decided to ‘fix their future’ by talking to InsideOut Group.

 

THE CHALLENGE

Having no marketing experience whatsoever, they weren’t clear about their internal mission, vision and values, and externally their service offering was poorly defined. Their logo was a DIY attempt from 20 years ago and they had no discernible brand look. This really was a ‘blank page’.

THE SOLUTION

Starting at a strategic level, we helped uncover their unique strengths, and refined their service offering down to three words which became their descriptor and dictated the structure of their new website: Access Inspect Repair.

We developed a marketing program, placing a part time marketing manager inside their business to drive it, and created a whole new brand look which reflected their strong, simple, direct style of doing business. This was rolled out across a range of channels in new comms programs focusing on brand awareness and lead generation.

The result: just a few weeks after relaunching, the market started responding with new business coming in from areas they had previously never won business in.
